The Chemistry Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga is an educational institution that provides education and teaching in the field of chemistry for undergraduate (S1)students. This study program was established as part of the transition from IAIN to UINSunan Kalijaga in 2004 based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of IndonesiaNumber 50 of 2004. The follow-up to this decision was the Decree of the Director Generalof Islamic Religious Institutions No. Dj.II / 206/2005 concerning the ImplementationPermit for the Undergraduate Level Study Program (S1) at the Sunan Kalijaga StateIslamic University, Yogyakarta. One of them is the Chemistry Study Program at UINSunan Kalijaga.

In 2018, based on the Decree of BAN-PT No.1540 / SK / BAN-PT / Akred / S /VI2018, Chemistry Study Program UIN Sunan Kalijaga has been accredited A with ascore of 362.This achievement is proof of the seriousness of Chemistry Study Programin implementing higher education in accordance with the vision and mission that havebeen set. These visions and missions are used as a reference in formulating thecurriculum, namely the chemistry curriculum with halal scientific characteristics in thefield of chemistry.
